Abandoned Iceland

Colorful Kitchen

As I have stated before, I was amazed at the diversity of Iceland. In such a small space there was so much variety. Iceland was a treasure trove of landscape wonders. However being true to form I was also fascinated with the old and abandoned.
It was raining most of the day and we were frustrated that every time we got out of the car it would start to mist. So I went exploring and found this jewel in an old house. It wasn't quite a house any more, now it was more of a place that long ago you might have crashed if you were lost perhaps. I say that because there was an old mattress and scattered chairs in the room next to the kitchen. I find it fascinating to discover places like this. Besides I loved the colors and the horseshoe that still hung above the door.
