Blending Dynamic Light

I was introduced to a new app a few days ago, Dynamic Light. Today I finally had the opportunity to work with it and see how it works. It is relatively simple to use and has the option to save at a high resolution, which is great.

The above image was processed only using Filterstorm. I was able to saturate the colors, add contrast and sharpen the image to my liking. However it still lacked a punch of color that the rocks had when I was taking the photo.

The above image has the app Dynamic Light add to the previously processed image using only Filterstorm. I think this image is too soft and glows a bit much for my liking.

So I decided to finalize the image and chose to layer both images together in Filterstorm, painting in the glow from the rocks and drama in the sky with a low opacity brush to give me a great combination of both.

This image was captured along the Burr Trail near Boulder, Utah.

  1. Hi Terry, stopping by the blog and see you did post on Dynamic Light. At 0.99 I will have to give it a try. By the way is there a good add for local adjustments - or a favorite?
