The View from 30,000 Feet

Cascade Mountain Range near Leavenworth, WA

On Wednesday when I was flying home from Indianapolis, I woke just in time to see the snow covered Cascade Mountains near Leavenworth Washington. In that particular area is The Enchantments, a group of high alpine lakes, one of my most favorite places on earth.

As the plane flew closer to Seattle the clouds started to gather at the edge of the mountains creating this wonderful white blanket. It was still early so the sun was low and the mountains had this cool blue hue.

Just after I captured this blog posted image, I saw and captured Mt Rainier in the far distance standing tall above the clouds. It was an incredible sight.

  1. I'm sitting on top of the world,

Just rolling along, just rolling along.

I'm quitting the blues of the world,

Just singing a song, just singing a song.
