Heart in the Sand

Hipstamatic Camera App

The above image is a straight shot of a heart I drew in the sand on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I captured this image with the Hipstamatic camera app using the Roboto Glitter Lens and Dream Canvas.

The Hipstamatic camera is a great additional camera to add for a beginning to advance photographer. It encourages play and adds a wide variety camera lens and film options. After purchasing the original app, you have the option to add additional lenses and film types within the app itself.

As with all new photography related purchases, it is important to check the settings. I would highly recommend that you change the viewfinder setting to 'Precision Framing'. You do that within the iPhone Utility 'Settings'. Within the Settings Utility, scroll past the App store settings and look for 'Hipstamatic'. Tap 'Viewfinder Mode' and change from 'Classic' to 'Precision Framing'. Other settings can be changed to. I turned off  'Shake to Randomize' since I want to control what lens and film I am using. Within the Hipstamatic App you have a 'quality of image' control lever. This is located on the left of all the lenses. All lenses will use the same setting. I prefer "High Quality', it takes a little longer for the image to process but worth the wait when needing those extra pixels for processing later.

'Forbidden'

After capturing the above image I processed it using many apps: Perfect Photo, Iris, PhotoWizard, ArtisticOil, and Impression. I actually printed this image as an 8x8 on canvas. I love it!
