Car Camping in the Palouse

Car Camping 3:45am

Wake up, look up!

A billion, trillion, zillion stars I see,

One moon that glows blood red.

So quiet and then,

Two packs of coyotes howl and yippee.

How wonderful, how joyous to be embraced in Mother Natures wonders,

While parked next to the Lone Tree in the draw of Tennessee Flats.

Junk among the Lilacs - iPad processed

This is another image from Cle Elum, however this one was captured a few springs ago when the lilacs were at full bloom. The car unfortunately is no longer there, I assume it was taken to the scrape metal yard. 

When processing this image I spent a lot of time making sure the detail in the car was sharp and defined. I didn't crop into the image tightly because I wanted to give it a sense of place.

Had fun with this one today! I used Snapseed, TouchRetouch, fxPhotoStudio and Filterstorm to create this dramatically improved image!

This weekend I put together the itinerary for the Palouse workshops in June and August. I will be starting the Workshop with a two day Beginner iPhoneography Class, then have a three day Palouse Photo Tour, followed by a two day Advanced iPad Creativity class.

Roslyn Photowalks II

I mentioned recently about my Photowalks through Roslyn. You just never know what you might find around each corner. This is one of my favorite old cars to capture. 

When processing this image I concentrated heavily on the frame. After blending it several times This is what I decided on.

You Gotta See This Relic Bug!

The You Gotta See This camera app is fun to play with. It is tricky to get to work well but after some instruction and practice you will be creating attention grabbing images. I captured this image near Portland, OR on the private property of Rusty Relics. A very kind gentleman, once you get to know him, allowed me to take some of my best old car iPhone images of his treasures.
I took this image right before Christmas last year and am not sure of which apps I used, sorry. I felt is was too good and original not to share!
