Junk among the Lilacs - iPad processed

This is another image from Cle Elum, however this one was captured a few springs ago when the lilacs were at full bloom. The car unfortunately is no longer there, I assume it was taken to the scrape metal yard.

When processing this image I spent a lot of time making sure the detail in the car was sharp and defined. I didn't crop into the image tightly because I wanted to give it a sense of place.

Iceland - Farms and Country Living

Today I wanted to go back to the glacier and lagoon before sunrise. In order to do that we had to leave at 3am.  At first the guys warned me that they most likely would not be up to join me. But just as I thought I suspect they couldn't stand the fact that I may get a terrific image without them so I saw there smiling faces at 3am.
The sunrise didn't disappoint any of us. The glacier was clear and the icebergs were spectacular. I captured many wonderful images with my iPhone and my Nikon. One thing that can not be done well on the iPhone is to zoom. I needed a zoom lens in order to isolate icebergs better so I used my Nikon.

After shooting icebergs, mountains and glaciers for two hours, I just took the time to sit down and enjoy the moment. It was amazing to watch and listen to the icebergs break apart as I mentioned yesterday. I could have sat there for hours watch the dance of the icebergs. I think it was my favorite place, well at least one of the favorite ;-)

I still haven't processed any of the iceberg images yet. It seems there is so much to do and little time for processing except in the car while moving from one location to the next (and sleep is also required while in the car.)

The above image was captured at a wonderful farm with various cars and tractors scattered about. I will post some of my favorite vehicle sometime. This image was processed using ArtistaVintageHD, Blender, Filterstorm and Bad-Camera

After sunrise we headed to the hotel for breakfast, a shower and packing before the long drive back to Reykjavik. On the way back we stopped at various locations. We are always excited when we stop to photograph so we can get out of the car. Iceland is a vast place that requires lots of driving. Too much sometimes. Oh and another thing I tried today was a hot dog from Iceland. In fact I had two they were so good. They pop when you bite into them and the mustard is of the hot and sweet variety - more sweet. Harry compared them to the Nathan's Famous at Coney Island.

One of my favorite was at this little one room place. It had a bed and TV in it so I am not sure what is it used for. I do think it was crazy cute and we had lots of fun with it. I processed with ToonPaint, (thanks Harry) DynamicLight and Filterstorm. Oh and do you see the face on the house, we have seen them everywhere this week, usually in rocks or mountain faces but this house has one for sure.

One last thing....I am looking out my window and it is still twilight at 11:30 am. the light here never stops!

Beep Beep Road Runner

Combining the bottom two and highlighting just the Road Runner.

After DynamicLight

Before DynamicLight

Here is another image from the Roslyn Run Car Show. This one was also processed with playful apps. The original capture was with Hipsta. I started processing with ToonPaint and also used WordFoto. I brushed the details of the face back in using Filterstorm.  Then I decided to post it. That was until I saw how dark in was on the big screen of my laptop. So I added brightness with DynamicLight. I believe the result was dramatic in both brightness and color.

Roslyn Run - Things that go Vroom Vroom!!

This year at the Roslyn Run I was fascinated by the engines. I chose to process this image using ToonPaint thanks to Harry Sandler's kind reminder of the apps possibilities. He was also very kind to point out a few new ideas when using the app. So I went a little crazy with it today.

Backside x3 - The Brick Saloon, Roslyn, WA

Teri Lou's few personalities
"A lot can happen in a year." is a quote I seem to live by day by day, month by month, year by year.

In the last year I have been very fortunate to meet many wonderful people. Some have become dear friends, while others have past through my life briefly. I live in a small town and my social contact has been limited after my daughters both graduated from high school. With the new freedom I decided to travel the world seeing so many wonderful places and again meeting wonderful people. With the options of social networking I have kept in contact with so many of my 'new friends' in ways that weren't possible just a few short years ago.
However I have neglected to bond with the people close to home until recently. As many of you who follow my blog know I have been spending time in The Brick recently. It started as a place to go on Tuesday for 'Taco Tuesday'. Now it is my 3rd office, my 'Cheers' and a place I can shake my bootie on Saturday night! The Brick is a wonderful place for locals and out of towners a like. The staff is friendly and very welcoming.
The other day I asked Carlena, the head bartender, if I could come in early to work on a photo shoot. Without hesitation she made the arrangements for me. So last week I brought my iPhone and change of clothes and spent the morning photographing my backside. Thanks to Carlena, Randi and staff for allowing me to express myself that morning.

Toon Paint - Yard Work!

Mowing the lawn!
I am like many others, I really don't enjoy mowing the lawn. So as you can see I let it grow a bit high before I tackled the job for the first time this season. Thank goodness the backyard isn't a thick lawn and more like a play one instead, hence the Volleyball court. However after mowing the lawn, I did enjoy completing the many more tasks of weeding, spraying, sweeping and watering. I have always likes playing in dirt!

I can see that I blended in this border about as good as I mowed the lawn leaving a little white along the upper left edge just like I left a strip of tall grass in places. Oh well I guess it adds to the story!
